Jaguars select QB Brandon Allen in 6th round

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In the sixth round (No. 201 overall) the Jaguars finally selected an offensive player in Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen. The Jaguars got a great look at Allen when he was coached by their staff in the Senior Bowl.

Last season Allen passed for 3,440 yards and 30 touchdowns. He has decent size at 6’2” and 210 pounds. The Jaguars are likely drafting him as a potential project. In 2015 the Jaguars only carried two quarterbacks on the 53 man roster (Blake Bortles and Chad Henne).
