Marqise Lee misses Jaguars practice with hamstring injury

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee just can’t seem to catch a break. After making it through OTA’s and minicamp completely healthy for the first time in his career, Lee was held out of Friday’s training camp practice with a left hamstring injury.

Over the course of his first three NFL seasons Lee has missed time with ankle, hamstring and knee injuries. This latest setback doesn’t appear to be as significant as some of the previous injuries.

“You know what, it is a mild hamstring strain,” said Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley. “So he was out here, you saw him jogging around. It’s not going to be for an extended period of time, but we’re going to be cautious with it and make sure that we do our due diligence. Like I said, we’re going to be more cautious than anything.”

If it were up to Lee he would’ve practiced on Friday, but he acknowledged it’s too early in the season to take any chances.

“I know how important it is to be patient as far as coming back,” said Lee. “I don’t want anything to prolong it. Just because I felt something in my hamstring doesn’t mean it’s significant. So therefore I have a chance to sit back and go through the process. It’s not like we play tomorrow. I have some time so I’m not worried."

Running back T.J. Yeldon also missed the second day of training camp with a right ankle injury. Bradley also said that his status is day-to-day.
