By cutting Osgood, the Jaguars saved $3 million in cap space

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jaguars have cut special-teams ace and wide receiver Kassim Osgood.

The move saves almost $3 million in cap room for the Jaguars.  With the new rules regarding kickoffs and punt coverage, Osgood's salary was too expensive for the position.
