Runners are pumped up and ready to lace up their sneakers for Saturday's River Run, but here's how it will impact traffic.
Pre-race parking will be available at EverBank Field and nearby garages will be open. In addition, there will be parking available at the Tailgater's Parking lot on the East side of the stadium. It's suggested that runners arrive at the sports complex by 7 a.m. on the day of the race.
A short section of Gator Bowl Boulevard is already closed to all pedestrian and vehicular traffic from the west bound lane, extending to the east entrances of EverBank Field. This portion of the roadway will remain closed until the race ends.
On race day from 8:20 a.m. to 9 a.m. Ocean Street between Bay Street and Beaver Street will be closed to traffic. This closure will also extend to the east, from Ocean Street passed the stadium. Also the Hart Bridge southbound will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon. Essentially, all roads from the Main Street Bridge east to the Stadium and north to Beaver Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for approximately 40 minutes.
