To avoid delays and help provide a safe environment for the race participants, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office recommends using alternate routes Saturday morning.

Estimated street closure schedule: In preparation of this event, starting at 8 a.m. on Friday, a short section of Gator Bowl Boulevard will be closed to all pedestrian traffic and vehicular traffic from the west entrance of Lot J, extending to the east entrance of EverBank Field. Sections of this road will open after the race begins. Gator Bowl Boulevard from Talleyrand Avenue to Haines Street will remain closed until after the race concludes.

On Race Day: Police will be implementing "a hold and release" traffic pattern along the race route. This is sometimes called "a rolling closure." From approximately 7:30 a.m. until 10 a.m. Ocean Street between Bay Street and Beaver Street will be closed to vehicular traffic. This closure will also extend to the east, from Ocean Street passed the stadium. Essentially, all roads from the Main Street Bridge east to the Stadium and north to Beaver Street will be closed to vehicular traffic for approximately 40 minutes.

Adams Street to Beaver Street will be closed from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. for the Florida Times-Union 5K for Charity.
