Sharks now 0-2 after loss to Orlando

The loss is the second one-point loss by the Sharks in their first two games

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – During practice this week Sharks head coach Les Moss said, "We are not desperate, but we have to get going."

After their 55-54 loss to their arch rival Orlando Predators, the Sharks really have to get going to keep up in the AFL South Division.

Despite four Tommy Grady touchdown passes in the first half, the Sharks found themselves down 35-34 at the break.  After a failed onside kick attempt from the Predators to start the 2nd half, Jacksonville scored on a Grady to Tiger Jones TD pass to give the Sharks their first lead of the game.

But the momentum shifted in the 4th quarter after Orlando blocked a Fabrizio Scaccia field goal attempt from the Sharks own end zone, eventually giving the Predators the lead on a short TD run by Michael Simons.

The Sharks pulled to within one with less than a minute to go, but an illegal defense penalty nullified a 4th down stop by the defense, giving the win to the Predators.

Next up for the 0-2 Sharks is a visit to the Philadelphia Soul next Sunday at 4PM.
