Sharks stop Shock 34-28

JACKSONVILLE – The Sharks defense pitched a second-half shutout and Jacksonville scored the final 20 points in a 34-28 win over the Spokane Shock. Terrance Smith returned an interception for the go-ahead touchdown with less than five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter as the Sharks snapped a 2-game losing streak.

The Sharks trailed 28-14 with with 3:16 left in the second quarter after a Spokane touchdown. But Jacksonville did not allow a score in the final 33:36 of the game.

Jacksonville improves to 4-7 on the season. The Sharks have a quick turnaround with a Thursday night game against Orlando. It's the third meeting between the two teams. Kickoff from CFE Arena is set for 7:30 PM.
