Sharks to partner with Motley Crue?

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It appears Rock and Roll is here to stay... in the American Football League.  Channel 4 has learned that Vince Neil of Motley Crue is interested in buying a partnership in the Jacksonville Sharks.

Sharks officials had no comment on the potential rock star partnership other than to say they were working on an announcement regarding the team in the next few days.

The club is expected to announce Neil's position and role with the team tomorrow or Monday.  He would join some members of the group KISS as owners in the league.  KISS is one part of the ownership group of the new Los Angeles franchise.  Perhaps not coincidentally, Jeff Bouchy is a partner with the Sharks while his brother is one of the partners of the L.A. franchise.  Jon Bon Jovi was the owner of the Philadelphia Soul until 2010.

Neil's intentions are not clear at this time but reportedly he's interested in knowing how a franchise works and is interested in potentially putting a franchise in Las Vegas.

The Sharks game next Saturday night, April 26, at home will be televised by Channel 4.
