The Players Tuesday morning: Everybody's here

No detail is too small for the staff at TPC Sawgrass.

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Without the defending champion Tiger Woods here at The Players, the number of "marquee" names is short. Consequently the scheduled press conferences won't take up much time Tuesday or Wednesday.

(Tiger is making progress and had a lot to say in his all-too-frequent-but-informative blog)

Last weeks' winner, J.B. Holmes, will speak at noon Tuesday, followed by Master's champion Bubba Watson at 12:30. The PGA Tour's Commissioner Tim Finchem will give a sort of "State of the Players" address at 1 o'clock. He'll talk about what's going on at The Players and address the situation with the greens. Phil Mickelson will have his say at 2:30.

Wednesday, Jordan Spieth will meet the press at 8:30 a.m., then the 13 first timers will be in the press room at nine. Former champion Adam Scott is at noon, Matt Kuchar is at 12:30 and Rory McIlroy will speak at 2;30
