Treon Harris moving from QB to WR

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The competition to be the Gator’s starting quarterback next season has been subtracted by one. According to a report from Gridiron now, Treon Harris will move from quarterback to wide receiver next season.

After splitting time with Will Grier to start the season, Harris eventually became the full time starter (following Grier’s suspension) and started in nine games. The Gators offense simply wasn’t the same with Harris under center. Harris completed just 51 percent of his passes and threw for over 200 yards just three times.

With Harris now lining up at receiver the Gators quarterback competition will consist of transfers Austin Appleby and Luke Del Rio and freshmen Feleipe Franks and Kyle Trask.
