UNF falls to Florida Gulf Coast in the A-Sun semifinals

NASHVILLE, TN – With one out in the top of the ninth inning, designated hitter Corey Fehribach hit a solo home run off the scoreboard in right field to lift No. 5 FGCU (27-31, 9-12 A-Sun) past No. 2 UNF (39-19, 15-6 A-Sun), 3-2, and send the Eagles to their first A-Sun Tournament title game.

UNF tied the game at 2 in the 4th when Nick Karmeris singled home Corbin Olmstead, but Fehribach's 2nd home run of the season proved to be the difference in the A-Sun semifinal.

The Eagles also received stellar pitching for the third straight game as Christian Townsend tossed a career-high 3.2 innings of scoreless relief and Sterling Koerner closed it out with 2.0 perfect innings.

FGCU faces off with No. 6 Stetson in the championship, needing two wins to win their first ever title and receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. With a win in Saturday afternoon's game, the two teams would return to play a winner-take-all game Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

The Ospreys finish the season with a record of 39-19.
