DELAND, Fla. -

Demarcus Daniels drilled a 3-pointer with more than a minute left in the game to carry North Florida to a 54-52 win at Stetson Thursday night.

Brian Pegg dunked to give the Hatters a 49-47 lead with 2:42 left, but North Florida roared back on layups by Daniels and Dallas Moore and Daniels' trey to take a 54-49 lead. Raymone Andrews was fouled behind the arc and converted all three free throws to cut the lead to two points, but Hunter Miller missed a 3-pointer that would have given Stetson the win.

Pegg and Willie Green scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, and Pegg pulled down eight rebounds to lead Stetson (6-17, 4-7).
