A native of Charleston, S.C., Charmayne graduated from the College of Charleston with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.. She is now pursuing a personal goal of getting a master's degree. She attends Nova
Southern University.
Charmayne's first love is journalism. She has been a journalist for five years and now working toward her anchoring goals. Her favorite part of reporting is meeting new people, and she says she has grown to appreciate every opportunity she gets to help people through her reporting work. But she adds that reporting is about more than just talking to people. While it's all meant to come off looking very natural, each report involves a great deal of preparation -- you have to know what you're going to say, she says.
Charmayne is married. The couple has two children. When not working, she enjoys reading, sightseeing, and spending time with family and friends.
