A decade ago, the Jacksonville community was paralyzed by the tragedy of a crime that still echoes in the hearts of many. An 8-year-old girl vanished and was later found dead under a 14-year-old neighbor's bed.Ten years after the disappearance and murder of Maddie Clifton, Channel 4 took a new look into one of the most shocking: crimes in Jacksonville history.Channel 4 news anchor Jennifer Waugh talked with those who were closest to Maddie as they revealed the real reason they believe the girl was murdered.She also spoke with the mother of the boy who killed the 8-year-old.Tonight at 8 p.m., Channel 4 will bring you the Crime Alert PrimeTime Special: Maddie's Murder, 10 Years Later.
