WJXT-TV4 wins in November ratings

Jacksonville Viewers continue to make News4JAX the dominant No. 1 station

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – WJXT-TV4, The Local Station, is again the most watched in news for the November 2016 Nielsen ratings period in the Jacksonville television market, winning in every major local news time period for the month.

In morning news, News4JAX at 5 a.m. is #1 in the time period with a 3.9 household rating winning versus the combined competition of WTLV, WJXX, WJAX, and WFOX.  At 5:30 a.m., News4JAX won with a 5.4, again beating all other news competitors combined.  News4JAX at 6 am is #1 in household ratings in the 6-7 a.m. time period garnering a 6.5 household rating and a 20 share.  The Morning Show (7-9 a.m.), anchored by Jennifer Waugh, Bruce Hamilton and Richard Nunn, is #1 in the time period with a 5.3 HH rating and a 15 share beating out all other newscasts including the national broadcasts of NBC’s Today Show on WTLV, CBS This Morning on WJAX and ABC’s Good Morning America on WJXX. 

This marks the 65th consecutive month of winning the 7-9 a.m. time period. 

At 9 a.m. The Morning Show 2 dominates Today Show 2 by more than a full rating point, with a 3.9.

In evening news, News4JAX at 5 p.m. is most watched in the time period with a 5.2 household rating.  News4JAX at 5:30 p.m. is #1 in the time period with a 6.0 household rating.  News4JAX at 6 p.m., anchored by Mary Baer, Tom Wills, John Gaughan and Sam Kouvaris, is #1 with a 6.6 household rating and an 11 share.

The story continued in late news, with wins in The Ten O’Clock News and News4JAX at 11 p.m. WJXT is #1 at 10 p.m. with a 5.7 and again at 1030 p.m. with a 4.1, both more than doubling Action News' ratings.

At 11 p.m., News4JAX is #1 with a 4.2 household rating and 8 share. 

On November 8, WJXT was the most watched local station for the third presidential election in a row, achieving a 7.0 HH rating during peak coverage from 7-10 p.m. In addition, News4JAX.com saw more than 1.3 million pageviews for the day across our website and app.
