1 dead, 2 seriously injured in 9-vehicle crash

Crash happened on Interstate 75 near Southwest County Highway 484

MARION COUNTY, Fla. – A man died and two other men were seriously injured Saturday in a nine-vehicle crash on Interstate 75, about 3 miles south of Southwest County Highway 484, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Sung Il Lee, 64, of Lagrange, Georgia, was driving southbound on Interstate 75 when at about 11:55 p.m. he ran his tractor trailer off the road and crashed into the guardrail in the median, troopers said.

Lee re-entered the interstate and hit four noncommercial cars and four commercial vehicles, troopers said.

Justin Joseph Tereskun, 25, of Fruitland Park, Florida, was killed in the crash. Lee and his passenger, Raymond Bostain (age not released), of Lagrange, Georgia, suffered serious injuries, troopers said.

Four others suffered minor injuries, troopers said.

All southbound lanes were shut down for several hours while authorities investigated.
