4 teens hurt in Baker County ATV crash

FHP report indicates 13- and 14-year-olds were not wearing helmets

MACCLENNY, Fla. – Two girls and two boys aged 13 to 14 years old were injured Sunday night when an all-terrain vehicle they were on left North River Circle, went down an embankment and struck a concrete culvert, according to the Florida Highway Patrol

The driver and three passengers fell off the four-wheel Honda Ranger about 8 p.m.when it left the road and headed down the hill. The driver and one passenger were both taken to UF Health in Jacksonville with serious injuries, according to the FHP report. One passenger was taken to Ed Fraser Hospital in Macclenny with minor injuries and the fourth teenager injured did not require hospitalization.

None of the victims were wearing helmets.

Troopers said charges were pending the outcome of the investigation.
