JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Electric Authority had to replace a power pole after a car ran into it Tuesday morning.
Before 5 a.m. the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was notified of a crash along South University Boulevard between Luella Street and Beach Boulevard.

A power pole had been hit and was blocking the roadway, according to JSO.
South University Boulevard was closed in both directions between Luella Street and Beach boulevard while JEA crews worked to replace the power pole.
The road wasn't reopened until Tuesday afternoon around 3:30 p.m.
