Driver critically injured when pickup flips, burns

Another motorist helps driver from burning vehicle on I-295

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 42-year-old Jacksonville woman was critically injured Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 just north of Commonwealth Avenue.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Patricia Musgrove was driving north about 7:20 a.m. when her Chevrolet Silverado drifted into the grass median and struck the guardrail, overturned several times and caught fire.

Another motorist helped get Musgrove out of the burning car and she was transported to Shands Medical Center in Jacksonville.

Troopers said they don't know why the vehicle left the highway.
