FHP: Van strikes, kills bicyclist when driver sneezes

FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A van struck and killed a bicyclist in Flagler County on Tuesday afternoon when its driver sneezed and drifted into the bike lane, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Fredrick Martinez, 51, of Flagler Beach, was riding eastbound on State Road 100 near Old Kings Road in the marked bicycle lane about 2:30 p.m. Troopers said a van driven by 32-year-old Robert Little, of Palm Coast, was in the right lane approaching the bicycle when he drifted into the bike lane and struck the rear of the bike with its front bumper.
