CALLAHAN, Fla. – Two 100-pound propane tanks on the bed of a truck caught fire on U.S. 1 near Fifth Street in Callahan Thursday morning, blocking the road while Nassau County Fire Rescue dealt with the cleanup.
Nassau County Fire Rescue said crews responded to the fire about 10 a.m. and then cooled the tanks to prevent an explosion. The remaining propane was then burned off, firefighters said.
