JSO: Man injured in hit-and-run on Lem Turner Road

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was injured in a hit-and-run crash Monday morning on Lem Turner Road, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

According to police, about 12:45 a.m., an off-duty sergeant found a man injured in the northbound lanes of Lem Turner Road near Ashton Street.

Based on the man's injuries, it looked like he had been hit by a vehicle, but there was no vehicle at the scene, police said.

The man, who police did not name, was taken to UF Health for treatment. The extent of his injuries was not released.
