Another vehicle was westbound on Wright Avenue and stopped at a stop sign to go south on St. Augustine Road, police said. They said the driver of that vehicle tried to turn left from the stop sign but failed to see Fadool riding his motorcycle around the curve or see him enter the intersection.

The front of the motorcycle struck the left side of the vehicle.

Fadool, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not initially believed to be life-threatening. After arriving at the hospital, he died.

Police said their investigation is ongoing.
