MIDDLEBURG, Fla. – A woman who was initially reported as dead Friday in an overnight crash in Middleburg has survived, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
At around 4:32 a.m., Ashley Mooney, 20, veered off the road, and hit a tree at the intersection of Thunder Road and Osceola Trail.

Partial roadblocks were set up while troopers conducted their investigation.
Mooney was taken to Orange Park Medical Center, where she remains in serious condition, officials said.
