An area of low pressure is developing over Texas (yellow circle). The thick red line indicates that the jetstream is digging down allowing the cold to spill south. This may set up a winter storm scenario for Oklahoma and north Texas. Notice over Florida, showery/cloudy weather is being depicted by the model as a weak front drapes itself over the area. This will lead to cooler conditions for your Tuesday with high temperatures in the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. There is also a chance of showers by Tuesday afternoon. Mardi Gras festivities look to be severely disrupted in and around New Orleans.
