April showers on the way- no foolin'

The 1st day of April looks soggy

Showers headour way Monday

JACKSONVILLE,Fla. – After a beautiful Easter, from Sunrise to sunset- check out the photos Channel 4 viewers shared with us of Easter morning sunrise below- the first day of April is wet and cloudy.

Showers moved through Southeast Georgia during the morning hours, making for messy travel conditions and wet roadways.  Rainfall accumulations will be less than an inch, and severe weather potential is very limited. Isolated thunderstorms may be mixed in with the scattered, passing showers.

The scattered showers push down to the State line by the lunch hour as temperatures push into the low 70's. Afternoon highs reached the mid to upper 70's despite the increased clouds and scattered showers.  During the afternoon hours, the showers spread further South across Northeast Florida.

The cold front responsible for the showers finally pushes South of our area by 8:00pm, clearing our skies and allowing for high pressure to build into the Southeast.

Tuesday and most of Wednesday will be clear and warm, with more significant rain heading this way by Thursday morning, lingering through Friday.
