Chilliest cold snap of the season this weekend

Fall weather arriving tonight

Early morning lows will be the chilliest so far this season this weekend.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Get ready to bundle up this weekend. Fall weather arrives tonight and temperatures will drop well below a typical late October evening.

A cold front passing through will bring much cooler and drier air to Jacksonville over the weekend. The last time Jacksonville had overnight lows in the 40s was last April.

Even with full sunshine on Saturday, temperatures should only warm into the mid 70s. Comfortable low humidity will make it feel like we live up north.

High pressure sits in place across us Sunday morning setting up a very favorable environment for cooler temps. We will likely see several inland locations in the upper 40s Sunday morning.

The sunshine continues Sunday with a break in the wind.

Next Tuesday a backdoor front brings the opposite. Winds behind it pick up out of the east increasing humidity through the end of the week.
