Gusty winds, high surf, high tides

Just a brief appearance as winds fade quickly Thursday

Coastal high tides are on the 6's (6am and 6pm) and running up to 2 feet above normal.

Jacksonville, Fla – Mini-nor'easter conditions bring back light to moderate rainfall amounts, gusty winds and much higher than normal tides.

Heaviest right along the coast, but downpours piled up along I-95 too!

Wednesday night rains ranged from very little west of Jacksonville, to 3" just north of Mayport (which had 2").  Arlington had an inch and officially at Jacksonville International Airport they had .55 inches, bringing the September rainfall total to 8 inches.

The good news is that this one will be brief, the bad news is, another, wetter nor'easter may develop Monday and Tuesday.

Also, along the coast. tides are running well above normal. The tides are highest on the 6s (6 a.m. and 6 p.m.) Thursday and 7s on Friday. The highest of these tides are just below causing scattered flooding along the Intracoastal and beaches.
