New, improved online weather content

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you visit our Weather section Monday, you'll probably notice we've redesigned our weather section on the web, on our mobile site and on the Weather Authority app.

You're also probably wondering why we did it. That's any easy one: It's because of you. We know you want access to our weather information 24/7. Whether you're checking the interactive radar to see when the rain will hit or want to know if it's going to be nice this weekend, you want this information fast and found easily. We get it.

If you're like me, you check it multiple times a day. That's why we've made these changes.

What's new on weather page

What hasn't changed is The Weather Authority Team behind this information: John Gaughan, Richard Nunn, Rebecca Barry and Blake Mathews. Some places just take generic weather info and publish it to their website or app. Not us. John, Richard, Rebecca, and Blake work around clock (they really are always watching and always tracking) to keep this information updated and in lock step with the forecasts you see on TV.

If you haven't already, be sure to download the all-new Weather Authority app for your Apple or Android smartphone. If you sign up for push alerts, you'll get the same personalized information you see on TV every night sooner rather than later.

We're hopeful the new easy to read graphics, the 10-day forecast, and the interactive radar will have you more engaged than ever in the stuff you want to see, when you want to see it.

That's what you've come to expect from The Local Station.
