Rain expected overnight
Showers and isolated thunderstorms roll in by midnight
Expect above average temperatures Monday afternoon before the next cold front sweeps through. Overnight and early Tuesday morning rain accompanies colder temperatures ushering in for the rest of the workweek.
Monday started out cool, in the mid 40's with clear skies and a beautiful sunrise...
After a sunny morning, temperature rose into the upper 60's and low 70's as high clouds continued to increase across our area. Winds developed out of the South up to around 10 mph.
A cold front pushed through the Southeast, increasing chances for rain overnight and early Tuesday morning.
Expect rain along I-75 by 10:00 pm, and along I-95 by midnight. We will see area-wide rain late Monday night and Tuesday morning. Expect rainfall totals between .25" and 1.00" the heaviest rainfall totals will be near the I-10, I-75 intersection. Mostly just showers are expected, but the atmosphere may support a few thunderstorms.
Tuesday morning, the temperatures will be in the upper 50's and low 60's- held in the mild zone by clouds. The rain will end around lunch time Tuesday, with clearing skies and breezy conditions late Tuesday as the cold front pushes through our area.
Temperatures drop dramatically Tuesday night, and by Wednesday morning we will see upper 40's and low 40's. Wednesday doesn't warm up much, only into the upper 50's ahead of a freeze Thursday morning, into the upper 20's and low 30's. The chilly weather continues for the rest of the workweek, but Thursday morning shouls be the only concerning freeze.
