Rain moves out as a light freeze moves in
Chilly Thursday despite sunshine
Wednesday was a rare day for Jacksonville, 15 straight hours of rain, clouds & chilly conditions. Ugh! But leave the umbrellas at home and instead, grab the sunglasses and a jacket as chilly conditions will prevail today.
Our weather story will shift from rain to possible freeze, especially inland Georgia tomorrow (Friday) morning. Frosty conditions will be possible for northern & western Duval county as well. If you have tender plants (vegetable gardens included) they will need to be protected Friday morning.
Today's high temperatures will barely reach 60°. Warmer temperatures head our way this weekend, maybe 80° by Monday.
BTW, flashing back to yesterday's rains, note that despite raining all day, the amounts were not all that, basically a half-inch. Score one for the RPM forecast model, see Wednesday's post.
