With lots of visitors in town, most with a big outdoor event planned Saturday, timing of a front passing through Friday night is being closely watched.
After near-record high temperatures -- a high of 87 forecast -- clouds will roll in by nightfall, with the chance of showers increasing to 30 percent.
Saturday early morning will start breezy, with increasing rain chances. The current timeline has the showers and storms building in west to east, starting around 3 a.m. Clearing will follow the quick-moving front providing some sunshine in time for the 3:30 a.m. kick off.
Temperatures will drop after the front passes, with Saturday's high only in the upper 70s, dropping into the 60s during the after-party at the Jacksonville Landing, and near 50 by morning.
