JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Expect a warm & sunny end to the workweek, and unsettled weather moves in mid-weekend.

Today was mostly clear to partly cloudy skies, and light winds allowed temperatures to climb into the 70's early, before lunch.  The afternoon highs reached the low 80's.  A weak cold front moved into our area this afternoon.  Rain associated with this cold front has diminished greatly as it pushed across Alabama and Mississippi.  Isolated chances for an afternoon storm existed along the weak cold front, especially as it collided with the afternoon sea breeze.  The most likely area for a shower Thursday afternoon was between I-75 and Hwy 301, especially to the North of I-10.

Thursday evening, the temperatures dipped into the upper 50's overnight, the slight chance for showers ended around 10:00pm.  Skies were cloudier overnight, and winds were light, out of the Northeast, between 5 and 10mph.

Friday, was partly sunny, with afternoon highs climbing to 77°, with increasing winds all afternoon long, between 10-15mph, out of the Northeast.  Friday evening, the temperatures dip into the low 60's and upper 50's overnight.  Skies are mostly cloudy, and winds are NE at 5-10mph.

Saturday will be the better day of the weekend, with partly sunny skies, afternoon highs in the upper 70's, and breezy winds out of the East, between 5-15mph.

Saturday night, clouds move in- and chances for rain increase overnight.

Some rain moves in on Sunday, with 40% coverage of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after lunchtime.  Despite the cloudier skies and chances for rain- afternoon highs reach the upper 70's.

40% coverage of showers continue overnight Sunday night, and increase to 50% coverage during the day on Monday.
