Camden County Spring Break forecast

Warmer than average, perfect beach days ahead this week

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Camden County's 2017 Spring Break is March 27th - 31st and the weather is warming up just in time. We expect warmer than average afternoon high temperatures in the mid to low 80s, and an East Coast sea breeze, making for perfect upper 70s at the beaches. 

Staycation

If you are planning a relaxing staycation in town you can expect a warm start to Spring break, topping out in the low 80s on Monday and mid 80s through most of the week. There are only isolated, inland chances for one or two showers to fire up along the sea breeze in the afternoon hours and march West. Patchy fog is possible in the late night/early morning hours, but will dissipate quickly after the sun rises. Friday morning is the best chance for showers we will see all week, and they should pass and we will dry out during the afternoon, leading to an ever-so-slightly cooler weekend, topping out in the low 80s instead of the mid 80s. 

Daytona Beach

Headed to the world-famous Spring Break destination Daytona Beach? Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 70s. Monday  with a warm up on the way, hitting the low 80s for afternoon highs  for the rest of the week. Winds will be light, mostly out of the East and less than 5 mph. There is a slight chance for showers on Friday. 

Pensacola 

 For the Spring Break week in Pensacola, expect afternoon highs hitting the upper 70s each afternoon with Southerly winds between 5-15 mph. Partly cloudy skies to mostly sunny skies dominate most of the forecast, the exception being Thursday evening and overnight where a 60% chance for showers builds into the forecast. Everything dries up and clears up Friday, hitting the upper 70s for an afternoon high with winds out of the West between 10-15 mph. 

Destin

Destin looks beautiful for Spring Break, expect a mostly sunny start for the week, topping out in the mid 70s for afternoon highs through Wednesday. Thursday the clouds roll in, and southerly winds between 10-15 mph, gusts to 20 mph. Thursday night into Friday morning through 8:00 a.m.- expect showers and a few thunderstorms with gusty westerly winds. The skies clear up just in time for the weekend. 

Orlando

Orlando is one of the warmer locations in the state this week. For the weekend, afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s with sunny skies. Monday will be milder, in the mid 80s for the afternoon hours with light winds out of the East-Northeast. Tuesday and Wednesday, expect sunny skies and afternoon highs in the upper 80s. The warm and mostly sunny weather continues through the week and into the weekend, the only slight chance for showers this week is after 3:00 p.m. on Friday there is a 20% chance for an isolated shower.

The Keys

If you are headed down to the Keys- first of all, I am jealous, 2nd of all eat some fresh seafood for me. Afternoon highs will hit the mid 80s each afternoon under mostly sunny skies. The wind break a little on Wednesday as it gets down to 5-10 mph out of the Southeast. Enjoy!
