Storms possible with 2nd round Tuesday evening

Round one of rains/storms dumped more than 1" -- there will be more

JACKSONVILLE, Fla.Update: 4:30 p.m. - Round 2 is heading towards Jacksonville! A tornado watch is in effect for west of Jacksonville (Baker, Bradford, Columbia counties, plus others).  This means we are watching the possibility of severe possibly tornadic storms through 10 p.m.

Previous article:  After the morning rains, there'll be a break -- maybe, briefly, some sun -- in Tuesday afternoon before another couple hours of rainfall after 8 p.m.  Then be prepared for the temperatures to drop -- with the National Weather Service issuing a freeze watch for the metro area and hard freeze inland by Thanksgiving morning.

There's good news and bad news for travelers the next few days. The good news? Just heavy rains (no snows) along the entire Eastern United States will lead to minor to moderate travel delays.  The bad news? There will be a threat of severe thunderstorms that could have high winds, small hail and possible small tornadoes.

Highs south of Jacksonville should reach 80 degrees if the sun breaks through.  North of town, clouds, cooler temps will hang tough and the rains will be longer lasting.

On a scale of 1 to 10, the degree of severity is small/low -- about a 3.  But, the degree of inconvenient and possibly disruptive conditions as you get around town on Tuesday will be fairly high.
