Summer-like I-95 storms return!

Morning sunshine builds heat into afternoon storms

Some could be severe...

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Here we go!  Severe weather has wrecked parts of Arkansas and Mississippi.  Overnight, last night, we saw intense storms cross Mobile Bay to Crestview.  That system has weakened but the weather pattern will remain very active.

For Jacksonville, we may start with hazy sunny skies but do expect another round of mid-afternoon storms.  The hour by hour forecast for today shows that the most likely time for these storms will be around 3:30pm.  Imbedded within the I-95 storms today will be storms that produce large damaging hail (greater than an inch) and winds that may gust over 65mph!

Mainly along I-95, where up to another 3" of rain may fall by late Thursday
