Sunday began moist and mild in the mid-70s with a quick warm-up during the morning hours. Temperatures climb into the mid-80s by your noon hour. Your first chance for rain today is along I-75 around your lunch hour. Showers from the gulf wandering on shore and fading during the morning hours will start to thrive as they move onshore as our temperatures warm up during the late morning and early afternoon hours.

A cold front sagging through the Southeast will start to push through Georgia today. The instability in front of the cold front will act as a catalyst point for showers and thunderstorms to develop this afternoon. Expect showers and thunderstorms to develop ahead of that cold front primarily between 2 and 6 PM. We could see isolated strong storms within the showers. The primary concerns with today storms are strong straight-line gusty winds and excessive lightning. Small hail is also possible.

Today's temperatures will top out in the low 90s with more clouds than typical for us for this time of the year. We'll see but winds building out of the Southwest between five and 10 mph during the morning hours and between 10 and 15 mph during the afternoon hours. A few isolated showers may remain after sunset this evening but should fade by midnight making for quiet cloudy and muggy conditions for the overnight hours.
