Terrific Tuesday weather, and then...

Clouds rapidly return, and rain, too

It was a full moon Monday night, but most of us never knew it as clouds have been so heavy recently, one wouldn't realize to look up.  Yet, it will be sunny skies many of us will be waking up to on this Tuesday morning.  I will dub it a "Terrific Tuesday" as the Gaughan Gauge will be an "8."

The powerful cold front that laid waste to parts of the mid-West on Sunday, eked into Jacksonville on Monday with a couple of shower.  Rainfall amounts were mainly under an inch.  Winds blew warm on Monday as well with an afternoon high of near 80!

But winds are turning northerly this morning and by this evening will, once again, be northeasterly.  The winds will accelerate and reach nearly 25-30 mph on Wednesday, prompting a Small Craft Advisory for winds and large waves.  There will also be gusty winds downtown and a few showers on Wednesday.

So, pull out the sunglasses for this morning and leave the umbrella near the front door.  The umbrella won't get dusty as once again we will be dodging showers before you know it.
