JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Friday started out cloudy, especially along and to the East of I-95, coastal breezes built significantly during the day, resulting in afternoon winds ranging from 15-25mph out of the Northeast. This made for unsettled conditions on the water, prompting a small craft to exercise caution. The brisk winds kept temperatures in coastal areas cooler, afternoon highs merely reached the mid 70's. Inland areas saw more sunshine, lighter winds, and warmer afternoon highs, reaching the low 80's along I-75. As temperatures warmed during the day on Friday, the clouds started to break up and skies were partly cloudy, except along the coast, where moisture made for cloudier conditions.
Friday evening, the winds calmed slowly after sunset, and the temperatures dropped down to 58° under partly cloudy skies. Winds were Easterly between 7-13mph.

Saturday starts out in the upper 50's and lower 60's, under partly sunny skies . Despite a few extra clouds, temperatures climb into the upper 70's with breezy conditions developing, especially in coastal areas. Winds will be 5-15mph by the afternoon hours, out of the East.
Saturday night, an isolated chance for showers develops, primarily across Southeast Georgia, prompting a 10-20% chance for rain area-wide.
Sunday, expect some showers and thunderstorms by the afternoon hours, in Southeastern Georgia. Everyone else will be dry on Sunday, with afternoon highs reaching the mid 70's along the coast, and the mid 80's along I-75.
Monday, expect showers and thunderstorms to develop across the area after lunch. Some storms may be strong, with slight chances for severe thunderstorms. The primary concern with the storms would be localized heavy rainfall, lightning, and strong, straight-line winds. Afternoon highs will reach 78°, and chances for rain are 60%.
