Weekend weather starts off wet and cold

Good news, weekend ends nice!

JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Extreme cold has spread across the nation, coming up just short of reaching Florida. This has left the storm track right across the Gulf Coast, through Jacksonville and has brought us a cold January and February, wet too!  Nearly 8" of rain has fallen across the area since the beginning of the year.

And this is how we will start off our weekend, cold and wet.  Expect rains throughout the morning and early afternoon hours today.  A few downpours may cross the area, but they will rapidly move through, leaving just moderate amounts.  No flooding, but roadways will be slick.  Timing for the rains will be from 8am to 2pm.

The good news?!?  Sunday!  Skies clear out after some early morning fog and temperatures jump!  Well, a little bit, should see 70° which is very nice...

Make the Gaughan Gauge:

Saturday a "4".

Sunday a "9".
