Gorgeous, mild Monday
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

Sunny skies made for a quick warm up Monday morning. By the lunch hour, temperatures approached the low 70s, with the exception of the beaches, which stayed in the upper 60s. Light southeasterly winds ranged from 5 to 10mph as temperatures continued to climb in the afternoon.

Afternoon highs ranged from the low to mid 70s, with the warmer temperatures over inland areas. High pressure has settled over the southeast- clearing our skies, eliminating our chances for rain, and enabling dramatic swings in temperature.

Monday evening, temperatures will slip through the 60s and 50s, bottoming out in the mid to upper 40s early Tuesday morning. Some clouds will creep into the forecast overnight, associated with a rather weak cold front that will bring only clouds, no showers.  Patchy dense fog will form in more fog prone areas as we approach dawn.

Tuesday, expect partly cloudy to partly sunny skies with further warming temperatures, topping out in the mid to upper 70s by the afternoon hours.

Tuesday evening, temperatures will slide down into the upper 40s and low 50s, with patches of dense fog forming by sunrise.
