Destiny McKeiver is thrilled to be returning home to Jacksonville as a reporter for WJXT, the station she grew up watching.
She attended Stanton College Preparatory School and graduated from First Coast High School.
Destiny moved to Tampa for undergraduate studies and attended the University of South Florida. She graduated a year early with a bachelors in Mass Communication-Broadcast News. While in Tampa, Destiny juggled school, work and various internships.
She was an intern for WTVT FOX 13, WFLA 970 NewsRadio and she also interned with CBS News in 2012 during the Republican National Convention. She was a runner and lighting fill-in.
Destiny returns to Jacksonville after anchoring and reporting for two years at KYTX CBS 19 in Tyler, Texas. She was one of two reporters sent to Beaumont for several days to cover record floods closing Highway I-10 near the Texas, Louisiana state line.
She was also Weekend Anchor, Reporter at KTVO ABC 3 in Kirksville, Missouri.
Destiny is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She's also a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Institutional Church in Jacksonville.
In her spare time, you can catch her spending quality time with loved ones, volunteering or shopping for dresses and shoes.
