JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Emily Turner is thrilled to be back home.
A Jacksonville native, she graduated from The Bolles School and received her broadcast degree from the University of Florida. Since then, she’s reported for WUFT in Gainesville, WPMI in Mobile, Ala., and WFTV in Orlando.
She will go to great lengths to get a story. She’s even jumped out of a plane for one. She’s covered five hurricanes, the BP oil spill and other stories that matter to you.
She’s also had the opportunity to tell stories about people who make a difference, like a local veteran who climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro as a double amputee.
In addition to her daily, general assignment stories, viewers can catch her at the game of the week on "Football Friday."
Every day brings new challenges, new opportunities and new people to meet. She wouldn’t trade her job for the world.
But she says she's not a work-a-holic or anything. In her spare time Emily is getting her meteorology degree from Mississippi State. She works out like a fiend (Crossfit) and stays active in local philanthropies. She’s a regular competitor in adventure races around the state and loves to travel. In what little time she has left, she likes to sleep and eat.
Emily is a sucker for a good story or a good laugh. If you have either, feel free to email her: email@example.com.
