Lauren Verno anchors the 9 o'clock hour of News4Jax's Morning Show and is the consumer investigative reporter weekday afternoons
Before coming to the WJXT family, she was a reporter for Spectrum Bay News 9 in Tampa. While working there she covered a wide array of stories. Including traveling to Texas for Hurricane Harvey, and Wilmington, North Carolina, for Hurricane Florence.
Lauren has also traveled for national stories like the Pulse shooting in Orlando and the Stoneman Douglas High School massacre in Parkland.
Prior to moving to Tampa, she worked as the weekend anchor/reporter at WCJB TV-20 in Gainesville.
Lauren graduated from the University of Florida cum laude. While at UF she was inducted into the prestigious Florida Blue Key and UF Hall of Fame.
Lauren has called the Sunshine state home her entire life, growing up in Boca Raton.
When she is not on the anchor desk or out in the field, you can find Lauren at the dog park with her puppy named Brody or counting down the days until football season to cheer on the Florida Gators.
