Tim Pulliam

Tim Pulliam is a national award-winning journalist. He says he was born to report. He loves the job, saying it allows him to know a little about a lot of things.

Tim is from Roxboro, N.C. (just north of Raleigh-Durham).  Before moving to the Sunshine State to report for WJXT, Tim was a reporter and fill-in anchor for WIS News 10 in Columbia, S.C. Tim's television news career began at WWAY and WECT in Wilmington, N.C.

Tim is a proud graduate of Winston-Salem State University (HBCU) and has a B.A. in mass communications. In college, Tim wrote for the campus paper in addition to reporting and anchoring for the university's television and radio stations.

Tim is the founder and former president of the South Carolina Association of Black Journalists. He is also a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and enjoys connecting with other minorities in the business. In 2011, NABJ awarded Tim with a Salute to Excellence Award for Best General Assignment Reporting.

Away from work, Tim likes to hit the road. He's traveled all over the United States and overseas to London, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, Mexico and Costa Rica.
