Cops: High, drunk drivers collide in New York

Pair kept driving until stopped by authorities

Two drivers, one high and the other drunk, crashed into each other in New York, according to police.

Malcolm Sidbury, 38, called police Thursday night after 57-year-old Thomas Robbins sideswiped his car on the Taconic State Parkway, the Daily Freeman reported.

The pair didn't stop driving after the apparent collision.

But troopers eventually caught up with them and arrested both.

Why?

Turns out, Robbins was under the influence of alcohol. But Sidbury was under the influence of drugs, according to police.

Robbins, whose blood-alcohol level was 0.25, was charged with DUI, while Sidbury faces a charge of driving while ability impaired by drugs, the Times-Union reported.
