Sowers of the Seed food pantry continues to help despite losing facility

The Sowers of the Seed food pantry was destroyed by Hurricane Hermine

STEINHATCHEE, Fla. – The community surrounding the Sowers of the Seed food pantry came together to help after it was destroyed by Hurricane Hermine.

Volunteers have pulled together to transfer salvageable food and nonperishable items to the Fellowship Baptist Church.

The food pantry said it will be distributing food this week to those who still need the help.

Sowers of the Seed said it has set up the Steinhatchee Area Coastal Relief Fund to serve the needs of the community, beginning with the restoration of the food pantry.

Donations to the relief fund can be sent to P.O. Box 172 Steinhatchee, FL 32359.
