Jacksonville hosts free shredding, donation event

Several companies to join for 8th annual America Recycles Day

DUVAL CO., Fla. – Republic Services, UltraShred Technologies, Iron Mountain, and Shred It have teamed up with Keep Jacksonville Beautiful to offer a community-wide recycling collection event.

Last year 35,530 pounds of paper were collected and shredded as well as 150 pounds of cardboard and 200 pounds of school supplies were processed.

Two locations will be open Wednesday, November 15th:

  • Prime Osborn Convention Center, 1000 Water Street, 12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Parking lot of Bank of America, 301 3rd Street Neptune Beach, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Both sites will also be collecting donations for the the Teacher Supply Depot including office/school supplies and arts and crafts supplies.
