Hundreds of adults, kids work out where Jaguars practice

YMCA's Family Fitness Fusion is city's largest family group exercise

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – An event at the Daily Place Flex Field -- the indoor practice facility for the Jacksonville Jaguars -- drew 250 people Saturday to what was billed as Northeast Florida's biggest group exercise event.

It was the second annual Family Fitness Fusion sponsored by First Coast YMCA, the Jaguars Foundation, Bold Events and Les Mills.

Before the group exercises began, children who attended participated in the NFL PLAY 60 Challenge.

The 1.5-hour mash-up of adult exercise classes ranged from Zumba to yoga and everything in between. Over 80 group instructors taught the 15 classes available.

There was also a kids' zone with bounce houses and other activities.

"We’re here to put on a community event. Everyone’s here just have a good time," said Elanor Lanza, the YMCA's director of donor engagement. "We encourage activity to stay healthy, to be well and really be part of a community."
