'A Hope to Dream' campaign gives beds to Jacksonville kids

50 kids receive beds, sleep over at Everbank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jaguars Coach Gus Bradley, his wife and a local furniture store hosted the slumber party of a lifetime Friday night.

Bradley teamed up with Ashley Furniture Home Stores' "A Hope to Dream" campaign to give Jacksonville kids a sleep over they will never forget.

"Not only are you going to have a great night's sleep but tomorrow, these beds are going to go home for you too. They're your beds," Bradley told 50 kids in Jacksonville.

Bradley's announcement was a surprise not even their parents were expecting.

"I got a bed, I got a bed," said one little girl as she jumped for joy on her new bed.

Among the lucky recipients, the Pugh family, Sedrick Pugh brought his two sons and daughter to the sleepover at Everbank.

Pugh was so overwhelmed by the generosity, he was speechless.

"They're enjoying the beds and it makes me proud that they're enjoying them," said Pugh.

Not only did the kids get their new beds, they also got to hang out Friday night with Roar Cheerleaders, have a pizza party and watch the Sun's game fireworks from the touchdown club inside the stadium.

Ashley Furniture will deliver all the new beds Saturday morning to the kids' homes.
